Steel strapping for a wide range of applications
Regular Duty
Regular duty strapping is manufactured from cold rolled steel under rigid quality control. Precise uniformity in width, gauge and finish ensures trouble-free operation with automatic strapping machines and pneumatic or manual strapping tools.
Super Duty
Super duty strapping is a cost-effective alternative to high tensile steel strapping, with similar performance characteristics in most applications. Ideal for many palletizing, unitizing, packaging and baling applications in a wide range of industries.
High Tensile
High tensile strapping is manufactured from special analysis cold rolled steel and is fully heat treated to provide high tensile strength and ductility. The cold rolled high tensile strapping ensures uniformity in gauge and finish for trouble-free operation in power tools. High tensile strength affords extra protection under all strapping conditions.
Finishes
Painted and waxed strapping features a high quality coating to resist corrosion, and it's uniformly waxed to ensure ease of operation in strapping tools and machines. It meets requirements of Federal Specifications ASTMD-3953-91, Types I and IV, Class A coated finish.
This type of strapping is developed especially for automatic machine applications where standard finishes have not provided satisfactory performance. Available in all sizes.
Strapping specified for Government and Railroad applications conform to Association of American Railroads and are marked in accordance with the requirements.

Standard types of seals
Open seal- placed over the overlapping strapping ends either during or after tensioning the strapping. Eliminates pre-threading, speeds the strapping operation.
Push-type seal
Used where strap is tensioned by butting the nose of the tensioner against the seal. Overlapping ends withstand the higher stress.
Closed (thread on)
Must be threaded over the overlapping strap ends before the tensioning tool is applied. Generally used on bundles that require larger strap sizes.
Semi-closed seal
Heavy duty version of the Open Seal. Requires no pre-threading.
Magazine
Held together by interlocking nibs. This development allows loading stacks of seals into magazine seal fed combination tools.
